Two black cats.
We visited this room for one reason, no one recommended it, but when I asked a certain escape enthusiast group what we should play in Bucharest, the owner of this room wrote to me and swore he had put his heart and soul into this room, he was ready to give her firstborn baby or at least a right kidney for it and that he guarantees super fun. I, as a prominent representative of the naive people who likes to give everyone a chance, decided to visit. The owner guaranteed that if we don’t like the room, we won’t have to pay.
A slightly amused lady greets us, I am not sure that she had a particular desire to moderate our game. I ask about the owner – he is gone, he is abroad. I look at the sofa where I can lay my Rubensian body and drink water. A black cat is sleeping in the middle. Another one, also black, is on the other side of the room. Villy said that we wanted to escape rooms and solve mysteries and riddles but that we lost her to the cause, cats should be caressed and massaged and this is her calling. I understand her, the animals are super calm and obviously are used to all travellers and puzzle lovers interacting with them. We also learn an interesting story. The room has a dark area with a desk that opens in a certain situation after solving the puzzle. One of the black cats disappeared, the lady reset the room and of course … the next group that played in the room was scared to death because the desk opened with a bang and a very real and slightly angry black cat flew from there. So, good idea, maybe not that practical 😀
Solving Leonardo’s secret was relatively easy. The game is not linear and is of the classic first generation rooms, scientist’s office, few books, few lasers, some puzzles. Most impressive was the puzzle with fire which safety still bothers me to this day. I have to admit it was attractive. The other slightly insane thing is that we locked ourselves in one of the rooms in total darkness. There was definitely no way out, and the game master came to us and opened the door. She said there was a button located behind the door as if one could see something in that darkness. Overall, the room is fun, but not unheard of or innovative, well spent an hour with friends and another Fury record.
