And so, out of the blue, without knowing anything about their plan, Vestigo team invited us to test new rooms located in CUM (Central Department Store). We were surprised; there were rooms we had been waiting for months, and this Multiplex Mentalist showed out of thin air; we hadn’t heard anything, and we were losing touch.
They insisted on finding a suitable time to play against the Offline team. At first, I didn’t understand, but then it became clear to me that there was an element of team play and competition (who would get to the bomb first), and that was a super cool part of the game.
Currently, there are two rooms open in The Mentalist, and they are thematically connected. If you’ve ever been or are still a fan of CS, you will love these rooms. Depending on what you want, you can take the role of terrorists or counter-terrorists. If you play with opponents, the end of the game is to beat the opponent’s team, such a concept never being introduced to the escape scene in Sofia so far. It will also help these rooms become good places for team building and friendly colleague tournaments. However, it is worth to mention both rooms can be played separately, without opposing anyone, you can play the plots.
And because we like to brag, I’ll share we first blew out CUM in 38 minutes. Then, after swapping roles with Offline we were so fast and arrived at the capture site 25 minutes after the start, and long before the terrorists showed up, we caught them red-handed. Apparently, we are doing great while playing the good guys. Finally, we even had time to “check the neighbors” (wink wink, if you go, you’ll find out the connection). And to our partners in crime, thank you for the challenge, it was really an honour for us!
The lobby and location of the multiplex are more than convenient; the rooms do not pretend to be too detailed or immersive. Those rooms were made to have fun and bond with your team rather than solve complex puzzles and challenge your logic. If I had a bunch of 14-year-old teens, I would certainly send him there.
Looking forward to The Fear Clinic, although I’m sure it is not for people with the jumping syndrome, will see, I can only send the boys and have a good laugh looking at the monitors while they play.
P.S. Yet Vestigo remains my favorite room of that team ❤️
