Anton Konduzov:

Coven was our first room in Romania on this trip (for me personally, this is the third trip). We were prepared for a scary room, screams, spooks – nope. The room itself was very pleasant, almost a homely feeling, and I personally really liked it. The puzzles the setting, and the variety. A wonderful experience with a few WOW exclamations inside. At one point, we felt we were rushing and slowed down the pace to enjoy it more. I managed to participate in several puzzles, which were logical and there was no tension or annoyance in solving them, on the contrary – just good vibes.

I really liked the variety of the puzzles, the combined elements by type, and the overall rhythm of the room. Here, no one was bored or felt out of solving puzzles. After exiting the room, I was very positively charged and actually, it was good that it was so, because the next room at the same place was a bit of a shock for me.

For context, this room for this visit to Romania, for which we played 13 rooms, I rank in second place.

Nadezhda Danabasheva:

“Coven” is a room that I’ve been avoiding for several years, ever since our first trip to Bucharest. Over the years, it has always been commented that this is the top room in the city, and it probably was, excluding the fact that there is now a new favorite. I’m a little annoyed with myself in retrospect because the game is not scary, and that was the reason we never got to it, but it was my stupid prejudice. Until now.

Trained already in rooms with a slightly more tense atmosphere, we were preparing for the worst, but it turned out to be a walk in the park with a few ghosts and the residents’ choice to illuminate in bright red. There are quite a few puzzles, and surprisingly, for this room with such a long history, they work; the room is well-maintained. It has a bit of everything: puzzles with sounds, with pictures for observation, and sensitive and logical puzzles. The recipe for a delightful experience if you don’t hype yourself unnecessarily is entirely there. And if, like me, you are easily scared, you can jump without any problem—no actors are involved.

After the game, I realized that The Void used to put a filter on the pictures of teams that they published on Facebook, back in the good years before GDPR. I wrote to them requesting it, and they responded, retrieving it from the old machines and dusty archives.

What can I say, I call that customer care. Kudos! 🙏🙌👏
