Genius’ Insanity (Game duration 60 minutes)

Fury team: Georgi GeorgievJordan DanchevVasil JoskovDimitar SmilyanovNadezhda Danabasheva

Date: January 5, 2016

Our time: 38:02 minutes

We were well-rested and bored after a complete lack of escape rooms and puzzle-solving in December. So, we attacked 2016 with a visit to the Questhouse. There was a tournament in the room, but we missed it. And we regret it because, with our time of 38.02, we would probably be somewhere on top of the rank list.
Our hosts were so friendly; they had our backs all the time and even allowed us to have a guest in the control room (later, Jordan married that wonderful guest of ours, so maybe, just maybe, we shined enough in this room and she was blinded), there was nothing more we could have asked for.
If you are visiting this room, spend a moment admiring the chandelier and the wallpapers! You just have to appreciate the little things in life. ❤️
The puzzles in the room are good. The gameplay is linear. I can usually tell from the beginning where the entrance to the next premises is, and in this room, they fooled me. Good job. I am so happy they have managed to implement real art in the gameplay, and the puzzle with the color solution and the paintings was fantastic. In my humble opinion, if they had emphasized a little bit more on the art theme, I would probably have put this room in the top 5 in Sofia. Well, I’m a sucker for art, and my personal expectations are very high, and this put a lot of pressure on the rooms who decided to go in such a direction. A room that doesn’t give me a UV Black Light but instead finds a more original and meaningful solution on a “reveal more info puzzle” always deserves my admiration!
And the water puzzle is mindblowing. 😀

Questhouse about us:

Fury was furious. The team escaped in a record 38 minutes. Well, Fury, there is not much more we can say.
