Obi (Ivan): We played in a group of four, and it turned out to be a very appropriate team size for the room. I believe one more person would make it overcrowded. From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported to what felt like a late-19th-century Midwestern farm. The attention to detail was remarkable—everything from the old wooden equipment to the ambient sounds of nature made it feel authentic. It wasn’t just for show either; the number of puzzles felt well-balanced, giving each of us something to focus on without feeling overwhelmed.

One of the standout aspects was the variety of puzzle mechanics. The creators clearly put thought into diversifying the challenges, so no two puzzles felt the same. Some involved more traditional tricks, while others introduced unique, hands-on mechanisms that really surprised us. That said, a few of the puzzles felt a bit off—almost illogical at times, which led to some frustration in our group.

While the immersion was impressive, we did find that the commitment to realism sometimes went too far. Some parts of the room felt a bit too dirty for comfort, which took a bit away from the experience for some of us. However, the room’s ending made up for it. The final moments wrapped things with smooth ending, leaving us with a warm satisfaction inside us that we carried with long after we left.

Nadia: Let me start by saying—we were late. Arriving for the last two games of the day with a significant delay could have easily meant skipping one. Fortunately, after we spoke with the owner and shared that we had a lot of experience, he allowed us to play Cemetary and afterwards Jack. Thank you for that.

As usual, I left the best for last. This room was featured in TERPECA at one point, which is not something I can overlook lightly. I can confirm everything Ivan said—impressive set design, a wonderful and refreshingly unusual story. How did the Jack Daniel’s secret end up in Prague? You’ll have to figure that one out yourself—but yes, it made sense.

There was one thing that bothered me. After the game, I shared my thoughts with the wonderful game master, who kindly passed them on. The owner later called me himself, which I appreciated. The last part of the game—the brewery itself—could use a bit of love. I understand that immersion is important. I also understand that some teams may not be familiar with the process and might put rye where the water should go, and vice versa. But we struggled. When you use real-life ingredients in a room, well… they tend to create life. Staying true to the theme and story is fantastic, but sometimes stepping back just a bit can improve the experience.

I absolutely see why this room made it into TERPECA. Of all the rooms we played in Prague, this one delivered the most entertainment for the price we paid—and having a drink after a long day was the perfect way to end it.

P.S. Thank you for the gift! ❤️ And the socks I bought are amazing.
