What’s better than testing an escape room? Testing two within 10 days.

The fact that there are new rooms in Bulgaria immensely pleases me. Another fact is that soon, we will have the first room that has educational value and teaches children science, which brings a smile to my face.

BioXcape is a result of a collaboration between the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation and National Museum of Natural History. . It is created with the mission to teach us in a fun and engaging way how global warming affects biodiversity and the cost and impact of human actions on nature. The task of pulling the learning process out of the past and turning it into an easy, interactive, and engaging method of assimilating information is ambitious but achievable. Gamification is happening.

Here. It was about time.

One would think now that the room only has 2 puzzles and tons of facts. NOT AT ALL. There are numerous puzzles and important facts. The space is expertly utilized, creating the feeling of being in the era and place where the game wants you to be. Everything you see matters – there are no redundant elements, and every nook and cranny is interactive and leads to the solution and new knowledge. The feedback from the puzzles is on an exceptionally high level – if it’s not time for a particular puzzle, you’ll know it; if you’re doing something wrong, you’ll know it. And if you’re doing the right thing in the wrong way, you’ll also know it. The decors and objects in the game are authentic, and as an 80s kid, I highly appreciated this. When work is well done, we always appreciate it.

With the exception of one detail, which they are aware of, and I’ve crossed my fingers they listen to us and modify it, the room is fully ready to welcome groups of young scientists or just adventure enthusiasts.

And to avoid any misunderstandings, even if you’re not interested in learning or concerned about global warming and the problems of this planet, the room will fully meet your expectations for an engaging game, a well-spent 60 minutes, and interactive puzzles. I don’t think you need anything more.

Desislava ArabadzhovaAngel ArabadzhovSvetoslav Tsanev, I know you work away from the spotlight, but I can’t help tagging you and congratulating you on everything you do for escape room culture in Bulgaria. For being uncompromising, for taking on a challenging project with a specific budget, and for doing the impossible to give us this room, my admiration and utmost respect.

Talking about science in everyday language, we now have a MUSEUM with an escape room. I’m going to cry from joy 😂
