Scherlocked is one of my all-time favorite brands.
We’ve played The Vault and The Architect, and when I received a message from Victor van Doorn way back, asking if Dimitar and I could help test the gameplay via Zoom while they were still working on the concept—I was in ecstasy.
It was a huge honor for me and a chance to help, even just a little bit, in creating this masterpiece of a game.
So, naturally, I was beyond excited to finally see in real life what I only knew on paper.
We were summoned to an ancient laboratory to assist in completing a powerful ritual.
The setting was nothing short of enchanting: a majestic, curved bookshelf stretching up to a stained-glass window, intricate mechanical devices, and atmospheric lighting—all creating a world that felt both mystical and tangible.
The environment evolved as the game progressed, revealing hidden chambers and surprises that kept us engaged and awestruck.
I won’t say another word about the puzzles—except that they’re intricate, engaging, and smart.
And I won’t spoil the ending—but I’ll say this:
At the end, we stood together in the dark, holding hands. None of us dared to breathe, afraid to miss a single beat of this performance.
A crown jewel in the portfolio of Scherlocked and a testament to the fantastic work this team continues to do.
It took them a long time to create this one—but it was so, so worth the wait.
