History and rules / Description:
The Puzzle Boat hunt is a marvelous event that happens once a year (for 10 years now). It is created by the prolific puzzle writer Foggy Brume who also publishes a monthly puzzle magazine Panda (P&A = Puzzles & Answers). There are more than 100 puzzles in each Puzzle Boat edition and they are worth every penny! While they lean more on the linguistic side (which is sometimes very hard for non-native English speakers from Europe) and often lack the visual appeal of other hunts, the puzzles are always smart, fair, and well-constructed. To get a better idea of what the puzzles look like, you can watch Quizzy Dan or Mindezzy on twitch, while they tackle one of the previous editions. I suggest you buy one of the older editions, take your time, appreciate the quality and then join the live competition in October. It is well worth it. And I cannot avoid mentioning my astonishment of how just one person can create so many great puzzles! Well done, Foggy!
