After Sir Cry-A-Lot entertained us appropriately at MindTrap Escape Room – Excalibur, we immediately booked the next room at Mind Trap, namely Gold Rush. We find ourselves in the mine of some unpleasant guy who apparently built it at the entrance to an extremely gold-rich mine, but he’s a hermit and doesn’t want to share it with anyone. We manage to outsmart him while he goes to town for supplies, and with the help of One Eyed Bill (how come they couldn’t find someone with two healthy eyes to guide us, I don’t know), we enter to search for the noble metal.
The game is again filled with humor. Bill may not be the brightest mind you’ve encountered, but he’s entertaining. While waiting for us to make decisions, he makes animal silhouettes using his hands and the lights, and the story was unveiled before us about the duck eaten by a dog 🤣 Bill is an absolute classic.
Although our progress is a bit slow because of Bill’s role and our rushing, causing a bit of tension, we manage to find the gold and disappear just before the unpleasant guy returns home. The puzzles are moderately challenging, the room has a user-friendly online inventory, and overall, it’s an example of a well-adapted physical room that offers the maximum possible experience online.
