The Holy Grail (Game duration 70 minutes)
Fury team: Venelin Gornishki, Hristo Tomov, Dimitar Smilyanov, Nadezhda Danabasheva
Date: September 30, 2018
Our time: 63:00 minutes
Exit Plan’s visit was planned with our trip to the Red Bull Escape Room World Championship 2018 qualifiers, which we, as you have probably heard by now a million times, won. After a very early flight from Sofia to Athens, and after the qualification was over, we headed to The Holy Grail with the idea of smashing the room record and everything else there was to smash. Yeah, it did not happen.
My first disappointment with Exit Plan was back in Sofia when I booked their new and highly praised “The Dark Sides of the Elements” room. I received a letter after the reservation that the room was not available in English and you definitely must understand Greek. This room is in Athens; we can safely say that it is the capital of world tourism, where only 5 million people were welcomed in 2017. Bummer!
My second disappointment came after we escaped the room; the opinion of the team as a whole is summarised in a video, look at 10.36 minutes:
Without being extreme like Dimitar, I can say the room is really a standard padlock room, a desk with hundreds of drawers, jigsaw puzzles, and so on. One of the puzzles, or more precisely its mechanics, impressed us all, but that’s the only positive thing we can say. Friendly owners, but the room is okay for 2012 when this all-escape room madness started to rise. I am convinced that if you research online and even on this blog, you will find more suitable locations to spend your time and money (that room was expensive, too).
In order not to be completely negative, they knew the name of the team and then kept following the story and congratulated us when our win was official, which is a nice touch and a remarkable gesture to the client. I acknowledge this, and it was a nice feeling when I read the comment on our Facebook picture on their page.

Congratulations on the Red Bull contest!!!!
