Another room that we squeezed into our ‘free time.’ After cashing off the diamonds in The Heist for a decent amount of time and finding ourselves with an hour and a half to spare, despite warnings that the room is one of the ‘older ones’ and first-generation, we decided to play.
Once again, I am convinced that classic rooms with many puzzles are my thing. As long as the puzzles work, it’s relatively clean, and there are no silly things. This room is exactly that. It’s clear that it has been improved over time to make things a bit easier for teams, but the hints are placed cleverly, as long as you open your eyes and think… well… logically. If you see drawn footsteps on the ground, put your feet there and open your eyes. If you have directed light, see where it points. Simple…
As the name suggests, of course, the plot is about Professor Ivanov (or Petrov, or Nikolov, it’s always some evil genius with an Eastern European surname), who has created a deadly virus and, due to some personal human tragedies, will destroy humanity because it’s easier than going to therapy. For the first time, I see a cleverly made (though not well-maintained) puzzle with pages from books.
There are a decent number of puzzles; we did go to play with low expectations and had a good time. We saved humanity again; you are most welcome.
