It was a long time coming for Gap the mind to release their next masterpiece—and it did not disappoint. It’s no surprise they landed 2nd place in EscapeRoomers.de’s rankings for Bucharest—this room absolutely deserves the recognition.

We began in what appeared to be a typical artist’s studio. Slowly but steadily, the narrative evolved, and we found ourselves pulled into a darker story, one involving a series of mysterious disappearances. The transition was seamless and chilling.

Nothing could have prepared us for what followed: incredibly creative, dynamic, and surprisingly unique puzzles—unlike anything we’ve encountered before. This game truly took us by surprise.

The experience was full of cleverly disguised entrances and exits, a satisfying mix of mechanical ingenuity and high-tech magic, and—best of all—a ton of content to explore and solve. We were completely engaged from beginning to end. What began as a relatively simple setting unfolded into a psychologically immersive journey through the disturbed mind of a killer.

Oddly enough, “art and murder” seemed to be a recurring theme for this trip through Romania—and I’m not complaining. Romania’s escape room scene is still overlooked internationally, but it’s an absolute gem: high quality experiences and exceptional value for money.

Final Verdict: 10/10. I wouldn’t recommend murder—but I would recommend Art of Murder, Gap the mind, and all their talented colleagues every single time.
