If I played this game today, I probably wouldn’t be that afraid—but back then, it was one of the first “horror” escape rooms I ever tried, and it really wasn’t a great experience for me.
The boys, who are way more experienced than I am with horror games, were laughing the entire time.
They found it funny because they could anticipate every move the actress was about to make—they knew exactly what was going to happen.
Puzzle-wise? Not very intuitive.
And worst of all: the furniture. Every single door and drawer was locked.
With a keylock.
Or a four-digit combination.
Everywhere.
Ten centimeters off the floor? Lock.
To your right? Lock.
Behind you? You guessed it—lock.
All of this in a half-dark room, where:
- You can’t see anything properly,
- You’re constantly expecting someone to jump out at you,
- And you have to keep bending over to check for yet another lock.
I guess the setup was intentional, but it wasn’t the kind of fear I was looking for. If you want to “fall in love” with horror rooms, this one is not the place to do that 🙂
