So, after everything that happened in Plan 52, Operation Black Sheep and Revenge of the Sheep, our mission is to go back to the beginning. I can tell you right away that this is my favorite room in London at the moment, and despite its few technical tingles, it is beautifully designed, executed, and equipped.

It all starts with another mission: to get into Mr Q’s old base, which, at this point, we all know is a mouse. And in this case, we literally have to get into a mouse hole. This is where the big puzzle is assembled, in each of the previous ClueQuest rooms we played mouse holes have been implemented in the interior. By this, you understand that Mr. Q helps you and guides you all the time from his base, into which we will now be able to enter. Of course, we need to get into the Shrink’o’Mat (the machine that will shrink us to mouse size) first.

We get roles. One is the navigator. Another is the captain. The third is the first assistant. We enter the Srink’o’Mat. The interior is futuristic and just gorgeous; it feels like a spaceship. The puzzles to make the machine work are small but complex and require a lot of coordination, quick thinking, and reaction. Boom, we are already small and can enter the base.

I felt like Alice in Wonderland. Everyday household items have new meaning, giant straws are gutters, champagne plugs are actually chairs, walls are made of giant books, and what else, I don’t want to spoil more, but believe me, it’s impressive.

Going through the tasks reveals a love story (as always, at the bottom of everything is a woman). There is one padlock in the room, but it is the mother of all padlocks, the monster of all locks, and it is super fun to play with. I am not bored for a second, I am not tired for a moment, or I feel stuck; this is the feeling I want to have in every escape room. cQ ORIGENES boldly ranks in my personal top 5 of all time, and I am truly sorry that our ClueQuest adventure is coming to an end.

If you have time for one room in London, my vote is clear: visit this one.
